The Departure Meeting for the 2017 JHUN Students’ Overseas Short-Term Exchange Program was hold in Meeting Room 216 of the Administrative Building of JHUN on Jul. 15th. Vice President Li Weidong, main persons-in-charge of the School of Music, the School of Fine Arts, the Security Department, the Office of Foreign Affairs and the School of International Education, the program teachers and all the students attended the meeting which was hosted by Chen Kai, Vice President of the School of International Education.
At the meeting, Peng Ran, Vice President of the School of Fine Arts and Yang Chunsheng, General Party Branch Secretary of the School of Music requested the students to pay attention to safety, cherish the opportunity to study, maintain national image, make friends extensively, and wish them to succeed in study and come back safely.
Wang Daoyi, Chairman of Wuhan Cambridge Education Service Consulting Co, Ltd., Wang Xiangmin, Vice President of Hubei Kuoke Software Co., Ltd., Yang Liu, Chairman of Wuhan Yijincheng Consulting Co., Ltd. delivered a speech on behalf of the Art Tour to Italy, France And Spain, the Higher Education Student Visiting Program in Malaysia and IETC Innovation Training Camp Program respectively. They all said they had pleasant cooperation with JHUN. They introduced the implementation scheme and process of respective programs and wished each program a complete success.
Huang Song, Deputy Director of the Security Department, emphasized students' overseas personal safety, property security and state secrets confidentiality. Chen Kai, Vice President of the School of International Education specified the schedule of the groups, arranged tasks for the exchange and study and emphasized the Consular Protection Guide, basic information and tips for destination countries, embassies and consulates of the People's Republic of China in those countries, domestic emergency contacts and tips before departure and after arrival in destination countries.
Vice President Li Weidong said in his speech that the students’ overseas short-term exchange programs are among important foreign affairs activities of JHUN. Since all the groups are made up of outstanding students in JHUN, they are expected to show good quality of Chinese university students on behalf of China, Hubei, Wuhan and Jianghan University and wished them a pleasant journey. Then, Vice President Li Weidong delivered school supplies on behalf of JHUN to the groups and conferred the group flag.
The departure meeting was attended by groups participating in the following programs: the 2017 Summer Art Tour to Italy, France And Spain, the 2017 Higher Education Student Visiting Program in Malaysia, the 2017 Micro Summer School Program in the University of Lincoln, the 2017 Leadership Enhancement Program in California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and the 2017 IETC Innovation Training Camp Program.
