On Jun.29th, according to the requirements of 2017 JHUN Students’ Overseas Short-term Exchange Program, the pre-trip meeting for the Group of 2017 South Korea▪Daegu International College Students Festival was held at the No.105 Conference Room of the School of International Education. The major principals and leading teachers of the CPC Students Affairs Department, School of Humanities, School of Electromechanical and Architectural Engineering, School of Physical Education, School of Music, School of International Education, and all students of the program attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by the Deputy Dean of the School of International Education Chen Kai.
At the meeting, Zhao Xing, Minister of the Party Committee of the CPC Students Affairs Department, gave a description on the selection of the Group, provided guidance for the personal safety during the period in South Korea and expressed high expectations for the Group to show a good quality of Chinese college students during the period in South Korea. Chen Kai, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education, gave a brief account of the schedule of the Daegu International College Students Festival, arranged the exchange and learning tasks that students needed to complete, and made a key emphasis on the basic situation and considerations of South Korea, information of the Chinese Embassy and consulate in South Korea, domestic emergency contact, considerations before the visit and after arriving in the destination country. The leaders of relevant Schools also made their own suggestions and opinions on the Group's visit. Lei Wanzhong, Secretary of the School of International Education pointed out in the summary, the Group's visit represented China, Hubei, Wuhan and JHUN, which was an important foreign affairs activity, and wished them a happy voyage.
Wuhan City became an international and friendly exchange city of Daegu, South Korea on Mar.24th, 2016, and the 2017 South Korea▪Daegu, International College Students Festival was an important component of the friendly exchange activities between the two cities. Four students of good character and scholarship of the JHUN led by a leading teacher, had the honor to participate in the International College Students Festival from Jul.2nd to Jul.7th on behalf of the Wuhan Municipal People's Government, which set up a bridge of mutual communication and friendly exchanges between the two cities.
