On the morning of Sep. 4th, the opening ceremony of the 2017 Jianghan University (JHUN) Summer University was hold in Meeting Room 216 of the School of International Education. Vice President Li Weidong and Professor Thomas Bauer from the University of Vienna in Austria attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Persons-in-charge of the Teaching Affairs, the Postgraduate Services, the School of Business, the School of International Education and other departments and schools of JHUN, experts from the International Association of Electronic Sciences (IAFeS), students and volunteers of the Summer University also attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Chen Lei, Deputy Dean of the School of Business.
Lasting for two weeks, the 2017 Jianghan University Summer University following that of 2015 and 2016 was the third one and cosponsored by Jianghan University and IAFeS. Students were divided into groups to study and discuss seven themes of business English, communication, social security and insurance, Chinese basics, international finance, big data & cloud computing, China economy and Wuhan city cluster, and then visited corresponding projects.
The 2017 JHUN Summer University was aimed at providing an international study and exchange platform, gathering teachers and students of different nationalities, different languages, different cultural backgrounds in Wuhan to study together, share experiences, exchange and explore continuously.
