Recommended by Jianghan University (JHUN), reviewed by Hubei Provincial Department of Education, publicized with no objection, five overseas students of JHUN were awarded 2017 Overseas Student Scholarship of Hubei Province. They were DASSAH RICHMOND AAKAAKPE, KHUPE MODI GOAGA, SAYAM AHMED, MASOOD MUHAMMAD and PERVAIZ AISHA.
DASSAH RICHMOND AAKAAKPE said after winning the scholarship “I’m glad to share with everyone my study tour. Since I was a child, I often learnt about the greatness of China and the profoundness of Chinese culture. I’m so grateful for coming to China to study and expand my life, vision and knowledge. I would like to express my thanks to the place where I study -- Jianghan University. Also, I want to thank the teachers here and every classmate around me, and myself for not giving up. I owe my achievements to everyone and everything around me. I will work hard to study Chinese culture in further education. No matter where I will be, I will carry forward what I have learned in China. Thank you!”
KHUPE MODI GOAGA said “I’m 22 years old. I come from Botswana in south of Africa, a small country with beautiful scenery. Because I am tall and handsome and a black man, my Chinese name is called Gao Heishuai. Now I am studying in Jianghan University, majoring in medicine and Chinese. I am a junior this year. I am honored to be awarded the Hubei scholarship, which I owe to my continuous efforts and, of course, your support. I have accumulated rich experience in China. People here are friendly, kind and diligent. I also like Chinese and Chinese culture very much. I will continue to study hard in the future!”
SAYAM AHMED said “First of all, I want to thank international education for providing me with such a perfect platform. Then, I want to thank Deputy Dean Chen Kai and all the teachers for your help. It is your hard work that makes me who I am today. Finally, I will thank my parents for their prayers as well as their upbringing for me. At the moment, no words can fully express my excitement. But I want to say no matter how long it takes, you will be rewarded for what you paid. I hope all the students like me persist in your dreams, for the dreams will come true someday. My goal is to set a good example for students. I will spare no effort to help you as long as I can. In the days ahead, I will work harder to make you proud of me. I hope to succeed in China. MASOOD MUHAMMAD said “I am a student of medical science at Jianghan University. I am very happy to receive this scholarship on behalf of overseas medical students from Jianghan University. I’m so grateful for the teachers that help me that I will work harder in the future.”
PERVAIZ AISHA said “I am very glad to receive the Hubei scholarship. I would like to thank all my teachers, parents and friends for your hard work and prayers. I hope to win similar awards in the future and make everyone proud. Hard work is the key to success, and I wish my friend has equal opportunity. Thank you again…”
