Japanese Exchange Students from the Chinese Cultural Refresher Class in 2017 Completed the Courses in Our School

    On Mar.17th, The commencement for completion of courses of the Japanese exchange students from the Chinese Cultural Refresher Classin 2017was held in No.216 Conference Room of the Administrative Building. Vice President Li Weidong issued transcripts and certificates of completion on behalf of our school to all Japanese students. The leaders, teachers and volunteers of the relevant Departments and Schools of our university, as well as 11 exchange students from the Oita Prefectural Corporate College of Arts and Culture and the Oita University in Japan attended the commencement. The commencement was presided over by the Deputy Dean of the School of International Education Chen Kai.

    At the commencement for completion of courses, all Japanese students reviewed and summed up the refresher class in Chinese, and performed Chinese classical dance “Reading Poetry of Tang Dynasty”, played with Ba Wu, to show their learning outcomes during four weeks in our school. Subsequently, Lei Wanzhong, Secretary of the School of International Education made a speech. He said that the success of this year's Chinese Cultural Refresher Class of the Japanese exchange students had promoted the development of Sino-Japanese friendship exchanges, enabled the exchanges and cooperation between Wuhan and Oita to achieve more fruitful results. The implementation of the project had provided multi-dimensional cooperation channels for Chinese and Japanese universities, which enabled the exchange students from Japan to further deepen the understanding of Chinese culture and society.

    In this year’s Chinese Cultural Refresher Class of the Japanese exchange students, Daily Chinese Listening and Speaking, Chinese Profile, Chinese Folk Music, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, Chinese Folk Dance and other courses were set up, the Chinese martial arts was experienced, and the activities including making dumplings, watching cherry blossoms in  Wuhan University, visiting Jingzhou and Chi’bi which are the historic monuments and cultural shrines in Hubei Province, watching the exhibition with national characteristics and tasting the delicious food with geographical characteristics were also carried out.
