On Jan.20th, at No.101 Activity Room of the Teachers and Students’ Activity Center, the police officer of the Exit and Entry Administration Department of Wuhan Public Security Bureau was invited by the School of International Education to give a security education lecture for all the international students of the JHUN. Chen Kai, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education attended and presided over the lecture.
Three aspects including general situation of Wuhan, Chinese law and recommendations to the international students were explained in the lecture. Police Officer Hu Di pointed out that Wuhan is located in central China, which is the capital of Hubei Province. The city is divided into three towns, namely, Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, by the Yangtze River and the Han River, and there are many bridges and many scenic spots, such as the Yellow Crane Tower, the East Lake, and the Guiyuan Temple. Subsequently, she also introduced the internationalization process of Wuhan City. In terms of legal common sense, she explained the dial up mode of emergency telephone, and made legal publicity from the fireproof, anti-theft, anti-fraud, traffic safety, off-campus accommodation, legal residence and other aspects for the international students, reminded them of the safety problems which should be paid attention to in their daily lives with specific vivid cases, and warned them to observe the law and discipline and comply with school rules. Finally, she hoped that the international students could study hard and live happily, and spent a happy and substantial winter vacation in the JHUN, and wished them a successful career to repay their motherland and relatives.
