On August 26th, 2016, the School of International Education organized 40 international students from Asia, Africa and other areas to visit the last station of 2016 international students’ extracurricular activities in the summer camp - Wuhan Zoo.
Wuhan Zoo sits at the Moshui lake of Hanyang District, Wuhan, its former is the Wuhan Zhongshan Park Zoo which is built on the base of nursery garden of original Hanyang District. The current land area is 42 hectares, and the internal lake is 26.7 hectares (Macang lake). Three sides of the garden face to the lake, and form a peninsula with the natural landscape of lake and mountain and bird’s twitter and fragrance of flowers, which is the comprehensive and semi-natural zoo with the integration of landscape, animal, plant and recreation.
The international students showed great interesting to this activity. They successively visited each scenic area and various animals in the garden, which embodies the good taste of their passion to the nature. During the visiting, the international students knew the living situation, body structure, life habit and other stuff of the animals through each panel information in the garden and the animals’ real life.
This summer extracurricular activity of Wuhan Zoo station not only relaxed thebody and mind of international students, but also gave them a chance to touch various animals in nearer distance, and had a good influence in the learning of clinical medicine.
