On March 25th, the 2016 Graduation Ceremony of Chinese Culture Refresher Course for the Japanese Exchange Students was held in the conference room 105 of School of International Education. The vice president Zhang Ying, and relevant leaders from Teaching Affairs, School of Foreign Studies and School of International Education presented at the meeting, the ceremony was presided by Chen Kai, the vice president of School of International Education.
The graduation ceremony reviewed one-month study and life situation of the Japanese exchange students, all the students from Japan Oita told their experience and impression of study and life with Chinese. The vice president Zhang Ying delivered a passionate speech, and sincerely congratulated to the excellent performance of the Japanese students in the school. During the 37 years since Wuhan have built friendly city with Oita-ken, Oita Prefecture, Japan, the Municipal People’s Government has paid more attention to the education and culture exchange between the two cities all the time. Our school signed the friendly exchange agreement with Oita University in 1989, and signed the 1.5 + 1 + 1.5 students exchange agreement with Japan’s Oita Prefectural Junior College of Arts and Culture. And this year, the two universities simultaneously designated 5 students to come to our school for learning Chinese and Chinese culture, the refresher course highly integrated the Chinese language learning, culture experience and social investigation, expanded the language course to the outside classroom and deepened into the culture, learning in practice, understanding in experience and improving in finding. Through the direct contact with Chinese humanity, folk custom, history and society, to enhance the Chinese communication ability and feel the essence of Chinese culture. The vice president Zhang Ying conferred Certificate of Completion and School Report to the Japanese exchange students, and presented the souvenirs with Chinese characteristics.
Successful hosting of Chinese culture refresher course of Japanese exchange students made the Japanese exchange students further strengthen the acquaintance and understanding to Chinese culture and society, promoted the development of China Japan friendly exchange business, deepened mutual understanding and communication between Chinese and Japanese students, enhanced intercultural communicative competence and broadened international vision, laying the foundation for further better communication between the two schools.
