It was a snowing day on Jan. 31st, School of International Education organized more than 50 international students from Asia, Africa and other areas to visit the Hubei Provincial Museum, which is the second stopof international students’ winter vacation activities in 2016.
International students were amazed by the four museum treasures including the blue and white porcelain of Yuan Dynasty, human skull fossils of Yun County, sword of Goujian, king of Yue and Zenghou Yi tomb chimes. During the visit, there happened to have a big public photography exhibition “Affection for Africa”. Students from Africa had the opportunity to enjoy photos of their local conditions and customs in a foreign land, which aroused strong homesickness.
This visit helped international students to understand the long traditionand rich background of ancient Chinese culture in a deeper way. They all expressed their will and determination of learning Chinese and their majors better so that they can make active exploration of the culture.
