School of International Education organized more than 80 international students fromAsia, Africa and other areas to visit the Tanghu Museum of ArtonJan. 27th, 2016, which is the first stopof international students’ winter vacationactivitiesin 2016.
On display in the museum was the “InkArt inTanghu—Hubei ContemporaryChinese Painting onFansInvitational Exhibition”, which stimulated great interestbetweenthe international students. These traditional Chinese fan-paintingworks have various forms including round and folding ones, embodying the particular charm of Chinese fan painting, where the international students felt strongsense of Chinese traditional art and culture. On the other hand, the “Adaptation andCreativity—Exhibitionof Works of Teachers and Students of School of Fine Arts, Jianghan University” made it possible for international students to witness the artistictalents of teachers and outstanding graduates and experience the modern artistic charm of Chinese painting. Then, the theater visited put ona traditional Chinese play and the students were amazed by the forms of expression including facial masks.
The international students benefited a lot from TanghuMuseum of Art during thewinter vacation activity. They said that they had a further understanding of Chinese artistic culture and would make great efforts to study Chinese to have a better knowledge ofit.
