Training Conference for 2018 Hubei Outstanding Student Overseas Study Tour Program in JHUN (to Harvard University) Held in the School of International Education

On July 5th, the Training Conference for 2018 Hubei Outstanding Student Overseas Study Tour Program in JHUN (to Harvard University) was held in the Classroom 206 of the School of International Education, during which Shi Xinran, a teacher from the School of International Education, Ms. Yang Liu, the Chairman of Wuhan Yujicheng Consulting Co., Ltd. and Ding Xiaorong, the Project Manager of the company all gave lectures.

Shi Xinran, a teacher from the School of International Education, first explained the main issues that might be involved in the US visa interview, including: the departure record, the investment situation, the basic information of the students, the family conditions and the itinerary during the US, and then gave out the materials needed for visa interview, such as DS-160 Form, the Confirmation Letterof Visa Interview and the Letter from Vice-President Li Weidong to the US Consulate.

Ms. Yang Liu, the Chairman of Wuhan Yujincheng Consulting Co., Ltd., and the Project Manager Ding Xiaorong gave an in-depth and detailed explanation of the program. She said that this tour to Harvard University in the United States was to experience the charm of the world’s top university, and thus asked everyone to fully appreciate the cultural differences between China and foreign countries, show to the world the good qualities of Chinese college students and spread positive Chinese culture. The program will set up English courses and students should participate in the study of their respective majors, so that they can understand and access the current advanced technology, development and internationally cutting-edge research achievements.

A total of 20 students participated in 2018 Hubei Outstanding Student Overseas Study Tour Program in JHUN (to Harvard University), which are all the outstanding students selected by the School of International Education together with the Educational Administration and the Postgraduate Services based on the students’ academic achievements, personal qualities, comprehensive performance in school as well as the results of written test and interview after the self-recommendation of students and recommendation of students’ schools.
