2月7日，教育部召开全国教育系统应对新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情防控工作视频会议。教育部党组书记、部长、部应对疫情工作领导小组组长陈宝生出席会议并讲话。他强调，防止疫情向学校扩散、守护师生安康、维护校园稳定，是教育系统的一项重大政治任务，是当前最重要的工作。要以高度的责任心和强烈的使命感，守住校园这片净土，确保师生生命安全。
On February 7, the Ministry of Education held a video conference on the prevention and control of the pneumonia epidemic in the national education system in response to the novel coronavirus infection. Chen Baosheng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Minister of the Ministry of Education, and Head of the Ministry's Leading Group for Response to Epidemics, attended the meeting and made a speech. He emphasized that preventing the spread of the epidemic to schools, guarding the well-being of teachers and students, and maintaining the stability of the campuses is a major political task of the education system and the most important work at present. 陈宝生强调“严防死守”。要切实强化阵地意识，严格管控学校校门，未经学校批准学生一律不准返校，校外无关人员一律不准进校门，师生进入校门一律核验身份和检测体温，对发烧咳嗽者一律实行医学隔离观察，不服从管理者一律严肃处理。校园划区划片管理，学生公寓封闭管理。
Chen Baosheng emphasized the strict guarding policy. We must effectively strengthen the position awareness, and strictly control the school gates. Students should not be allowed to return to school without the school’s approval, unrelated personnel outside the school should not be allowed to enter the school gates, and teachers and students entering the school gates must go through the identity examination and the body temperature measurement. We must implement medical isolation for those with fever and cough. Those who do not obey the management must be handled seriously.The campuses must be under zoning management and the students’ apartments must be under closed management.
目前防疫形势十分严峻，截止2月8日10时，全国确诊人数34598例，疑似病例27657例，累计死亡723例，累计治愈出院病例2052例。其中湖北省新增确诊病例1985例，新增死亡病例81例。
The current situation of epidemic prevention is very severe. As of 10:00 on February 8th, the number of confirmed patients nationwide reached 34,598, the number of suspected cases was 27,657, the total number of deaths was 723, and the total number of recovered patients was 2,052. Among them, there were 1,985 newly confirmed cases in Hubei Province and 81 people was confirmed death.
武汉市自2020年1月26日0时起，除经许可的保供运输车、免费交通车、公务用车外，中心城区区域实行机动车禁行管理。由于疫情防控的形势所迫，越来越多的小区都被封闭管理。

学校为了保证在校国际学生的生活日常所需，平均每三天会安排车辆集中外出采买生活用品，学校也将不定期为留校学生进行慰问。即便如此，学校保卫部门却向我们反映，每天都有部分国际学生要求外出。这些行为不仅不符合目前对疫情防控工作的要求，也直接违反了中国关于防疫期间的法律法规，更是对所有人生命的漠视。学院已经跟保卫部门联动，对外出国际学生采取劝返，对执意外出不配合工作者，将按照学校的最新规定进行处罚，严重者立即开除学籍，并通报大使馆。

School of International Education has already cooperated with the security department to persuade international students to return. If the students fail to cooperate with the workers, they will be punished in accordance with the latest regulations of the school. In severe cases, they will be expelled immediately and notified to the embassy.
为保护所有人的生命安全，欢迎广大同学举报不遵守规定者，如不戴口罩、违规外出、体温异常不报告等。如有发现，请向各自年级辅导员汇报，学校将对举报者严格保密，查证属实后给予一定奖励。以上通知，请广泛宣传，即日开始实施（2020年2月8日）。
