In the evening of September 21st, Mid-Autumn Social Gathering of Wuhan People from All Walks of Life was held in the Yellow Crane Tower. People from all walks of life in the city and friends at home and abroad gathered in front of the Yellow Crane Tower to renew friendship, talk about reform, pursue development, and express their lofty aspirations along the great journey in the new era.
Municipal leaders, such as Liu Liyong, Hu Hongchun, Hu Shuhua, Xu Honglan, Tan Renjie, Fu Mingxing, Chen Guangju, Liang Ming, Xu Xudong, Gan Xiaoming, as well as Zhang Wentong, the Director of the Management Committee of the Wuhan Changjiang New Town (New Area), and Ni Zilin, the Secretary General of Municipal CPPCC attended the gathering.
Part of Wuhan-based members of the National Committee of the CPPCC and Provincial Committee of CPPCC, some of Wuhan-based national model workers and national moral models, representatives from the Wuhan’s meritorious citizens and model citizens, heads from the municipal democratic parties, industry and commerce associations, and representatives of non-party personage, representatives from science, education, culture and art, medical and health, sports, and journalists, representatives of entrepreneurs, representatives from New Economic Organizations and New Social Organizations, representatives from ethnic and religious circles, representatives of Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, Taiwan compatriots, and overseas Chinese, representatives of workers, migrant workers and military, representatives of the municipal CPPCC’s conveners of subsectors, and representatives of Wuhan-based foreign experts, international students and international friends attended the gathering.
Hu Shuguang, the Chairman of the Wuhan Municipal CPPCC, delivered a speech saying that Wuhan’s reform, opening up and high-quality development are standing at a new historical starting point. He sincerely hopes that people from all walks of life and friends at home and abroad can pay more attention to Wuhan, support Wuhan, promote Wuhan, and join Wuhan; can build the most extensive consensus, pool the most complete wisdom, and gather the most magnificent powers to promote the construction of a modern, international and ecological Wuhan and jointly write a new chapter of high-quality development in Wuhan in the new era.
Later, literary and art workers from the Wuhan People’s Art Theatre and other organizations gave wonderful art performances.
