Pre-Departure Meeting for 2018 Hubei Outstanding Student Overseas Study Tour Program in JHUN Held in the School of International Education

On September 19th, the Pre-Departure Meeting for 2018 Hubei Outstanding Student Overseas Study Tour Program in JHUN (to Harvard University) was held in Conference Room 104 of School of International Education. The meeting was attended by representatives from Wuhan Yijincheng Consulting Co. Ltd., and all students involved in the program. The meeting was presided over by Shi Xinran, a teacher of School of International Education.

During the meeting, representatives from Wuhan Yijincheng Consulting Co. Ltd. introduced the significance and origin of this study tour, arranged the schedules of the study and assigned the study and exchange task. The representatives also told the students to cherish this opportunity to study, safeguard the image of China, and make friends extensively. They also wished the students a fruitful journey and a safe-and-sound return. The teacher of Shi Xinran emphasized the personal safety, property security and non-disclosure of state secrets when staying abroad, and gave an interpretation of the Guide to China’s Consular Protection and Services Overseas, as well as the basic conditions and notices in the host countries. At the same time, information of Chinese embassies and consulates in host countries, domestic emergency contact and matters needed attention before the departure and after the arrival etc. were also provided. She pointed that the students selected are the excellent ones in JHUN, and hoped that the students should show the high quality of Chinese college students, reminding the students to take good care of themselves as well as their property. She also hoped that everyone will represent a good image of JHUN, Wuhan, Hubei and even China, and wished the students a safe journey.

The twenty students who will participate in 2018 Hubei Outstanding Student Overseas Study Tour Program in JHUN received the tools for study that is needed when studying abroad, which are provided by the School of International Education.
