On September 7th, Prof. Norihiro Kurotani, the Chairman of International Integrated Department and Dr. Xu Tingjie from the Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture in Japan visited Jianghan University (JHUN) and held a seminar on “1.5+1+1.5” Study Abroad Program for students enrolled in 2017 with major in Japanese.
Since the establishment of the cooperation and exchange relationship between JHUN and the Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture in 2009, both sides have maintained a good cooperative relationship and achieved substantial cooperation and exchanges in various aspects.
“1.5+1+1.5” is a program for excellent students selected from the Japanese major in JHUN. In the second semester of sophomore class, they will go to the Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture for one year of study. JHUN will recognize the credits during the stay in Japan. Participating in the program has a very obvious effect on improving students’ language comprehensive ability. It is favored by Japanese majors. Since the launch of the program in 2013, 31 students have participated in the program.
